Tour 2017

Leith’s at Glyndebourne offer a comprehensive range of drinks and dining options from bar snacks to afternoon tea and bistro dining.

The Long Bar

Open throughout your visit, we recommend the Long Bar as the best rendezvous point to meet family and friends. We offer a selection of wines, Champagnes, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks including mulled wine on chilly days. There is also a choice of sandwiches, bakes and confectionery available, along with a range of coffees and teas.

Interval drinks

To avoid queuing for your interval drinks we strongly recommend that you place your order in advance online.  All interval drinks must be paid for at the time of ordering. All preordered drinks will be left with a copy of your booking on the glass shelves outside the Glyndebourne Box Office. In addition to the Long Bar service, there are hot beverage stations on each of the balconies serving tea and coffee.

There will be no restaurant services during the interval.

Walk in service. Open two and a half hours before the performance, the self-service tearooms, conveniently located adjacent to the customer car park, offers afternoon tea with a selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones. Tables are subject to availability.

Nether Wallop and Middle & Over Wallop restaurants

Both restaurants are open either two and a half hours before an evening performance or for two and a half hours following an afternoon performance. Advance booking is required although occasionally there is limited availability on the day.

Nether Wallop offers a range of optional starters followed by our extremely popular hot carvery and cold buffet which is rounded off with a choice of sumptuous desserts.

Middle & Over Wallop offers a two course ‘Bistro’ style menu with a selection of optional starters. We also offer a three course ‘meal deal’ menu.

Our set 'Ha-Ha' Afteroon Tea is also available here. (Served before the opera starts)

Picnic Facilities

The Glyndebourne marquee is open for guests to use for their own pre-performance picnics only, it is closed during the interval and after each performance.

Restaurant Access

All of our restaurants have wheelchair access. Mildmay restaurant is situated adjacent to the main customer car park with a small incline to the opera house and is therefore the most accessible, whereas Middle & Over Wallop and Nether Wallop restaurants are located on the opposite side of the opera house to the main car park and up a steep incline. There is a disabled toilet in or close to each restaurant.  There is a wheelchair lift in Middle & Over Wallop (please be aware we can only accommodate standard manual wheelchairs on the lift with a maximum limit of 200kg)
