Nyetimber Wines
Classic Cuvee Multi-Vintage
Nyetimber's signature wine, Classic Cuvee has a perfect balance of elegance and intensity. The blend
includes varieties from all their vineyards and multiple vintages. This wine pairs well with smoked
salmon or an asparagus and goat's cheese quiche.
Blanc de Blancs:
Crafted from a single vintage and given extended time on lees, this pure expression of Chardonnay
was the first style ever produced at Nyetimber and marked the start of their pioneering journey. It is
perfect with a white-crab tart.
Rosé:
A wine suitable for all seasons, Nyetimber Rosé is made from the three grape varieties in sparkling
wine, but at its heart is a celebration of the fresh red fruit character of Pinot Noir.
Cuvee Chérie:
The first of its kind launched in England, Nyetimber Cuvee Chérie demi-sec masterfully balances
sweetness and acidity. This style of wine is perfect to accompany afternoon tea and light, fruity
desserts such as lemon posset or tarte Tatin.
About Nyetimber
The Nyetimber Estate is situated in West Chiltington, West Sussex, and dates back to at least 1086 when it was recorded in the Domesday Book.
In 1988, Nyetimber pioneered the style of English Sparkling Wine we know today. They planted the first Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier vines in England to produce traditional-method sparkling wines.
Nyetimber wines are crafted using only the finest 100% estate-grown, handpicked grapes. Today, they own 327 hectares of vineyards across 11 sites around West Sussex, Hampshire, and Kent: all south- facing, sheltered from the coastal weather, and providing greensand or chalk soils.
Over the years, Nyetimber has won countless awards and accolades at international tastings and competitions.
Head Winemaker Cherie Spriggs was named 'Sparkling Winemaker of the Year' at the International Wine Challenge in 2018. Spriggs was the first person outside the Champagne region and the first-ever woman to receive the award.
‘As a pioneer of English Sparkling Wine, Nyetimber are delighted to be the official English sparkling wine partner to Glyndebourne, an institution whose dedication to creativity, excellence and innovation are integral to their ongoing success.’
