English Sparkling Wine

North Downs Classic Cuvée NV - bright green apple and tea roses lead on the nose of this wine that has been made in the traditional method. Bright, fresh acidity with complex bready notes on the palate lead to a warm and mouth-filling wine that has a firm backbone and a lovely long finish with citrus notes and a mineral ending.

40% Chardonnay / 40% Pinot Noir / 20% Pinot Meunier.

Cuvée Rosé 2019 - an elegant and well balanced, traditional method, sparkling rosé with fresh aromas of ripe, red berries, toasted brioche and honeyed blossom. The palate offers red apple and brioche notes, well integrated acid and a delightfully dry finish. Longer lees ageing provides finesse, structure, and harmony of flavour.

52% Pinot Noir / 48% Pinot Meunier.

Blanc de Blancs 2020 - a dazzling single vintage, traditional method sparkling wine that radiates style. Warm gold coloured in the glass with delicate bubbles that free the creamy, fruit-laden scent. Generous yet elegant aromas of ripe apple, stone fruit, shortbread and lemon blossom evolve into a rounded and soft palate. A lovely balance between floral and fruit elements underscored by a buttery brioche base note. 100% Chardonnay.

Founder’s Edition Blanc de Blancs - captivating apple and pear notes on the nose of this traditional method sparkling wine. This was made in the most exceptional year for English wine and the nose of ripe pear, white peach and jasmine are reminiscent of heady summer evenings. Lovely stream of lively fine bubbles - bright pale lemon with buttery creamy notes on the palate. 100% Chardonnay.

English Still Wine

Pinot Noir 2021 - mouth-watering flavours of blackcurrant and ripe fresh fig, with notes of dark cherry and white pepper. An elegant medium bodied wine with a silky texture and good ageing potential, which will allow development of more complex fruit flavours.

Pinot Gris 2020 - elegant, refreshing and soft with a medium body. Delicate but with lots of concentrated stone fruit character, with pear and apricot and a touch of orange blossom and honey.

Whilst Bolney continues to embrace its pioneering roots within English Wine, innovation is at the centre of what they do with an excellent range of gin and vermouth broadening their portfolio.

The Bolney Bar will serve a range of still and sparkling wines, making it a delightful stop before a performance and the perfect way to start your day at Glyndebourne. The above selection of Bolney wines are available to pre-book with your picnic and are available at the Long Bar and across our restaurants throughout your visit. Enjoy a pre-performance afternoon tea in Mildmay and make it even more special with a glass of Bolney North Downs Classic Cuvée.
